BioI made this journal in order to chronicle the project phase of my Senior Project. Because my paper revolves around Morrissey (the former lead singer of the 1980s Manchester band, The Smiths, and now solo artist), and the reasons for his success, I decided that for my project, I would create silk-screened t-shirts emblazoned with his image. This project relates to my paper topic because by selling Morrissey merchandise, I am able to cater to his fans, and at the same time, I am able to introduce him to people who are not yet his fans; "spread the Mozza word," if you will. So far, most who have purchased the shirts and who were not familiar with him prior to purchasing have since acquainted themselves with his work, THUS SPREADING HIS MUSIC TO THE MASSES (well, the shirt-buyers) AND CONTRIBUTING TO MORRISSEY'S SUCCESS!
